Next on the list... see the UP house! We just stopped and saw the outside because they are featuring it on the Parade of Homes tour and you have to have tickets. I will have a house like this some day! Hailey loved seeing it, but she wasn't super interested in having her picture taken. Her favorite part: the picture over the fireplace of Paradise Falls (you could see from outside).

Next... lunch (no exclamation point). The Star Place a.k.a. Carl's Jr. Billy and I look forward to our Saturday lunch because we will usually go somewhere good. Hailey was throwing a flipping fit, so she got to choose. Fail.
Last adventure of the day... Kennecott Copper Mine (again no exclamation point). They had been advertising free admission to the Mine (regularly $5 per car) for a week. Me, always out for a bargain decided that would be fun (and free!). We drive out to the middle of nowhere, and we come upon a sign directing us where to park. We pull into a dirt parking lot where there are 8 million other cars. Who knew the mine was so popular? Not me! So we park, get out, go get in line to get on a bus to take us to the top of the mine. We waited FOREVER. Hailey cried. I thought Billy's head was going to explode. Will was actually good. Finally the bus came. It took us to the top where we got off. They just announced they were going to do a blast any minute. We tried to get a good look, but remember how there were 8 million other cars at the bottom?? Well, all those people were now at the top stacked at least 3 people deep all along the railing to see the blast. We couldn't see crap, so we went to the visitors museum. We were in there for like 10 minutes and then went back outside. Still no blast. We walked around for like 5 minutes and saw a bus come up. We decided we were just going to get on this bus so we wouldn't have to wait forever again to get on. So the moral of the story is: Just pay the freaking $5. We will be back. It was pretty interesting, but not when there are so many other people there.

That was the end of our awesome adventure. Until we got stuck in traffic forever... good times.
